This unique pair of evenings will provide fascinating context for Pierrot Lunaire with in-depth perspectives on the literary and theatrical histories of the Pierrot character, culminating in a performance of Pierrot Lunaire by soprano Kristina Bachrach and NEXUS Chamber Music. Evening 1 will be led by esteemed poet David Yezzi.
Pierre the Poet will be led by esteemed poet David Yezzi (Johns Hopkins University), who will read his own new translations of the Giraud Poems on which Pierrot lunaire is based.
